Witch Sermon does not, and will not, run a distro. All of our time/money and effort in this label go completely towards making our releases the best they can possibly be. That being said, we are run by musicians who frequently work with other labels to release our own music. All artist copies of these releases will be listed in this section. We will also occasionally have a few copies of releases we work on as mixing/mastering/tracking engineers or visual artists in this section (and in rare cases we will have copies of releases we had nothing to do with, other than having a relationship with the label or band in question). Again, this is not the beginning of a distro, it is a way for our customers to buy these releases along with Witch Sermon releases for convenience, and cheaper shipping costs. check releases section for descriptions/photos of Witch Sermon releases. +0.68 – Elend double sided digipack CD on Ominous Silence. This is the best new death/doom band I’ve been exposed to in years. This pressing is limited to 250, and we only have a few. I was approached by the label to master this album and immediately took a liking to the material. No “romantic” Poe-infused violin numbers here. This is ugly, nasty and mean. $9(US), $10(CAN/MEX), $12(ROW) back in stock 5-3-11

Pus – Pus - CD Released by Universal Tongue and Féretro Records. Thirty minutes of filthy crust/sludge. Pro-CD, comes in a nice gatefold wallet. No idea what these guys have planned for the future but this album shows a lot of promise. $10(US), $12 (ROW)
Gnaw Their Tongues – Spit at me and Wreak Havoc on my Flesh – CD Reissue of some older material from GTT, released by Ominous Silence. One of the better CD releases I’ve seen recently, Ominous Silence is doing some really great things. $10(US), $12(ROW)
Anonymous Guise Guys – Monophonic Research – Micro Cassette Released by Dictafawn, who had this to say about it: “Who are the Anonymous Guise Guys? Well, obviously that’s not for you to know. All you need to know is, they’re a pair improv artists who make crazy experimental sounds through mail collaboration. For this release, each artist recorded a solo session on microcassette, then used that microcassette in another session, then mailed that session to the other artists to be used in the other artist’s third session, and vice-versa. One side is minimally altered, the other buried in a third session’s sound, both concluding with positive remarks on the concept of microcassette multi-tracking.” An interesting idea that yielded interesting results. We decided to distribute a few of these not only to support Dictafawn, but because it highlights the merits of the micro cassette as an artistic medium very well. In short, we like the format and we think releases like this have the potential to get more music fans interested in it. No word on whether or not we can expect more material from AGG, or if possible future material will again maintain the “strictly micro cassette” approach to writing and presentation but we will certainly be keeping our eyes (and ears) open for more down the line! ***YOU NEED A MICRO CASSETTE PLAYER OR OLD ANSWERING MACHINE TO LISTEN TO THIS*** $5(US), $6(ROW)
ZZ – Three Oscillators – 3″ CDr Two tracks totalling about 14 minutes of music composed and performed on three different customized oscillators (designed and built by Rocko, Repeater Electronics, and Bent-It) and some very light percussion. $3(US), $4(ROW) or $1 with any order (worldwide)
Winters in Osaka – Constant Fear – Cassette First installment of a series of tapes that Chronicles the earliest days of WiO, completely remastered. Several labels working on these reissues. $5(US), $7.50(ROW)
Haare – Madon Evankeliumi – CD From At War With False Noise:This is total swirling psychedelia, incredibly heavy shifting tides of drone with evil organ lines permeating the noise. I can’t better the description Haare himself gave it: “a slow, heavy bell”. Based on source sounds provided by Olly Pearson, Chris Chantler and Dom Finbow. You may have heard of them! 500 copies in an A5 pro-printed foldover wallet and PVC sleeve. Amazing art by Andrew Labanaris (Electric Wizard and MOSS). $10(US) $12(ROW)
Gruel – Gruel – CD From At War With False Noise: CD issue of this instant classic of avant-sludge. This is the only recording Gruel made, or will ever make since they announced their recent split, and what a testament it is! Like The Melvins playing King Crimson’s “Red” album, this is at both theatrical, beautifully composed, and troglodyte-ianly heavy. Utterly immersive, each passage of quiet atmospherics is shattered by a barrage of brilliant repetitious riffing. Four 15 minute-long songs and it’s totally captivating from start to finish. Will definitely be right up the alleys of those into Melvins, Swans, Grief, Throbbing Gristle, Goblin, Harvey Milk etc etc etc. 500 copies in a stickered PVC sleeve, with the disc wrapped in a big double-sided full colour poster. $8(US) $10(ROW) *only 1 copy left*
Aarni – Tohcoth – CD If you know Aarni’s work you know what to expect. If you don’t I’m not sure words will help you. Totally bizarre, probably quite mentally ill and completely brilliant. CD release by Epedimie Records (These are standard booklet/inlay/CD packages for a regular jewel case but they ship without the case, as we received them. The price reflects the lower cost of shipping them.) $8(US) $10(ROW)
Winters in Osaka/Hodr Split cassette A tape split between creep ambient veterans WiO and newcomers Hodr (a dark ambient/drone duo from the UK).
